ABOUT MARK HARRISON-
Mark Harrison specialises in portraits for the corporate, entertainment & commercial worlds, with strong contemporary imagery for companies, agencies and brands across the globe.
A lifetime of capturing the great, the good and the talented, has given me a body of work of some of the most significant individuals you could ever want to meet.
A multi-award winning story telling photographer for more than three decades, providing reliable solutions to studio or location portrait photography across the globe.
Clients have ranged from Burberry and BP, to the BBC and Spotify. I’m used to handling talent for brands, film & TV projects along with a raft of high profile commercial work.
My aim is to deliver for you, both a solution to your brief, as well as something else extra to add to the mix.
I’ve been been shouted at, had people laugh (and cry) and even sometimes squeeze me with joy, as they catch sight of the monitor. Although most people are nice, I often gets asked “Who was really difficult?”
I’ve had a career taking revealing portraits of passionate, talented people in places normally closed to prying eyes, is what gets me out of bed in the morning. I can sometimes be found working in small corners of hotel rooms, ceilings of studios, or even attached to the side of an aeroplane.. (I’m fully insured).
Notably, I found myself walking into the South Drawing Room of Buckingham Palace in 2019 asking my host ‘Can you finally now tell me now WHO am I here to photograph?!’
This was for the infamous BBC Newsnight/Prince Andrew interview, which became two Netflix & Amazon TV dramas and a worldwide news story that runs to this day.
Over the years I have pointed my lens at a long list of notable subjects, from prime ministers to prisoners, as well as multiple Hollywood legends. Some of my photographs are now in the permanent collection of the National Portrait Gallery, whilst others are winners of international photo prizes.
My approach is both collaborative and flexible, designed to understand and address your photographic needs, even if they are unclear at an early stage. I can help create your whole campaign or single image requirement, with access to an experienced team of helpers.
Based near London, I can often be found at home, trying to contain the noisy pooch (with the ears) whilst trying to set up a home music studio against the odds..
